We build pine cable drums with flange diameters from 600 to 3000 mm, one-way and returnable. The construction follows the weight and length of the cable, its minimum bending radius and the way the drum is mounted on your winding line.

Values for the standard construction. Intermediate sizes and reinforced designs are made to order — parameters follow from your cable data.
Drums are built to our own construction, agreed with the customer at the drawing stage. We also build to the customer's own factory drawing — if you have your own design documentation, we manufacture exactly to it. We equally produce the dimensions of the German DIN 46391 standard and the Italian CEI-UNEL 09812 table. Below are the documents cable plants in both countries refer to most often.
Common to both markets: ISPM 15 (IPPC) · PPWR · EUDR — heat treatment of the wood, requirements for transport packaging and proof of raw-material origin.

The table is given as a reference for customers in Italy. Our standard size range differs from it in some core diameters — dimensions to the standard are made to order, like any other construction from a drawing.
We start from the data you already have: cable type and weight, winding length, minimum bending radius, required hub bore and mounting method. Those determine the flange diameter, the core diameter, the width between flanges and the number and pitch of the tie rods.
The result is a drum built for one job rather than a catalogue compromise. You can size it yourself in our configurator; we then verify the result and prepare the technical drawing.
We cut the flanges for our drums in house and also sell them separately — see the drum flange size range. The material is cut in our own sawmill, so one company answers for the whole route from log to finished drum.
One-way drums are optimised for cost and shipping weight. Returnable drums are built for repeated cycles: stronger flanges, a bolted structure and replaceable parts, so a worn element can be swapped instead of scrapping the whole drum.
On request we supply impregnated drums intended for outdoor storage in the yard.
The timber is heat treated to ISPM 15 and carries the IPPC mark, so the drums can leave the European Union without additional phytosanitary formalities.
Every delivery comes with a full set of documents: the technical drawing, the packaging declaration of conformity under the PPWR regulation and the EUDR statement with a DDS number. They wait in the ppwr.fallwood.com.pl portal before the goods leave, in your own language.
Flange diameters from 600 to 3000 mm. The remaining dimensions, the core diameter and the traverse width, follow from the cable parameters and are agreed with the order.
Yes. Every drum is built to the drawing agreed with the customer, so dimensions from the German DIN 46391 standard (flange 710–2800 mm, part 3 up to 4500 mm) and from the Italian CEI-UNEL 09812 table (types 6–25, 630 to 2500 mm) are made to order. Our standard size range is close to them but differs in some core diameters — if you need a dimension exactly to the standard, say so in your enquiry.
Yes. If you have your own design documentation, we manufacture exactly to it — we take the dimensions, hole patterns, thicknesses and method of construction from your drawing. If there is no documentation, we prepare our own construction and agree it with you at the drawing stage, before production starts. Customer drawings are treated as confidential.
Yes. On request we supply impregnated drums prepared for storage in the yard. The standard version is intended for a covered warehouse.
